Accordingly, Alzheimer’s Disease, which is always progressive, is the commonest cause of dementia, it is distinguished from dementia by its cognitive, behavioral symptoms and characteristic order in which they appear. The diagnostic of AD requires many other causes of dementias as well as finding a history and symptoms of the Alzheimer’s. You will be provided with Mini Mental Status Examination (MMSE), with administration instructions and status exam form for the AD screening test that widely used in practice and research.

You also will be taken to section (in table description) about Laboratory Tests used with Dementia Patients, American Psychiatric Association Criteria for Dementia, American Psychiatric Association Criteria for Dementia of the Alzheimer’s Type, NINCDS–ADRDA Criteria for Diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease, Clinical Dementia Rating Scale and its relationship with abilities of daily life, Principles of Sleep Hygiene, and Delirium-Prevention Measures. All those informations may help a physician in diagnosing the Alzheimer’s.
