With its mission to promote cardiovascular education of professionals and lay people and to recognize major cardiovascular achievement throughout the world, this site do their objective in promoting the scientific basis for the practice of cardiology and cardiovascular surgery by: organizing Cardiovascular Teach-ins all over the world for continued education of practicing physicians, surgeons and experimental cardiologists, establishing cardiovascular forums in all major cities of the world for organizing and increasing the interaction of clinical cardiologists as well as surgeons with basic scientists, setting up national offices of the Academy for coordinating its activities in different countries, cooperating with various national agencies in different countries concerned with the education of medical students, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, collaborating with various national and international organizations dedicated to both clinical and experimental research in the area of cardiovascular sciences.
Another objective were fostering the exchange of information among cardiovascular scientists, increasing public awareness with respect to cardiovascular health and disease, recognizing the achievements of cardiovascular investigators.
Through world-wide representation, builds connectivity and encourages networking through traditional means of journals, texts and symposia, a quarterly Official Bulletin “CV NETWORK” as well as developing an interactive Web Site – WWW.HEARTACADEMY.ORG – which will result in more rapid and wider availability of the latest discoveries to help save lives.
