The Canadian Journal of Cardiology is the official journal of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS), which appoints the editors and Editorial Board members. The aim of the Journal is to be a respected international publication while serving as the major venue for Canadian cardiovascular medicine. The journal publishes original reports of clinical and basic research relevant to cardiovascular medicine as well as editorials, review articles and informative case reports. The journal welcomes papers on health outcomes, policy research, ethics, medical history and political issues affecting practice, as well as letters to the editor.
This site kept its motto “Leadership, Knowledge and Community”, CCS Members are provided unrestricted access to the The CJC On-Line through the CCS member’s website. Once logged into the member’s site, follow the link to the CJC. Restricted access to the the Journal is publicly available using the link: the CJC On-line.
You can become a member to browse indefinetely which consist of Regular Member, Member-In-Training and Associate Member. Regular Members: are specialists in cardiovascular health and diseases, or specialists who do not have a specialty qualification in a cardiovascular discipline but are recognized as having a major interest and time commitment to cardiovascular disease, or those with doctorates who are directly involved in cardiovascular teaching or research. Members-In-Training: are those individuals who are currently engaged in a formal cardiovascular-related training program. Individuals remain eligible for such membership for as long as they are engaged in formal training. Associate Members: are individuals with an interest in cardiovascular health and diseases, and do not qualify as a Regular Member or as a Member-in-Training.
When applying as a Member-In-Training, you will be asked to provide the name of your Program Director or Supervisor. When applying as a Regular or Associate Member, you will be asked to provide the names of two existing CCS members as references. If you are applying for Regular Membership a $100 administration fee is required to process your application. This fee covers your CCS dues for the remainder of this calendar year. You will be invoiced for the annual dues of $300 in the next calendar year. There are no administration fees for Associate or Member-in-Training categories.
